Fire on the Red

Spring is near, and you are invited to the Selkirk Waterfront on Saturday, March 16 to say goodbye to ‘Old Man Winter’ and to celebrate 2024’s Spring Equinox with “FIRE ON THE RED”!

If you were a visitor to Holiday Alley back in November, then you may have gotten a sneak peek at the 20 foot tall straw sculpture, “Lantern”, that was sculpted by Anvil Tree artist, Chris Pancoe, together with a guest artist from Lithuania, Vytautus Musteikis, for Selkirk’s first ever STRAW SYMPOSIUM.

Well, now it’s time to light the Lantern! Come on down to Selkirk’s historic Waterfront just before sunset on Saturday, March 16. The lantern and other fiery spectacles will be set ablaze to welcome the Spring.

WHEN: March 16th, 2024 7:30 PM Arrive | 8:00 PM Start
WHERE: Selkirk Waterfront 390 Eveline Street at Manitoba Ave, Selkirk MB (behind The Might Kiwi Juice Bar and Eatery)

Presented by: Holiday Alley
