Stained Glass Workshop
In this one-day stained glass workshop, you’ll learn about art glass, tools, best practices, and techniques as you create your own stained-glass piece. During this workshop, you’ll make 2 stained-glass ornaments to take home.
This stained-glass class is good for beginners and intermediate crafters alike. For participants that are 12-17 years old, we require parents to be in attendance as well.

Lantern Parade Workshop
Join Holiday Alley, Selkirk’s award winning festival, for a hands-on lantern making workshop to celebrate their newest community event. Holiday Alley instructors will teach you tips and techniques for creating your own DIY lantern.
All materials will be provided and you’ll leave with your own handmade lantern to carry in Holiday Alley’s Lantern Parade on Saturday, November 21.
This workshop is for those 14 and older due to the complexity of the workshop.

George Cotter Retrospective
Join Oak Hammock Marsh for a celebration of George Cotter’s career with a free viewing of some of his movies.
Trail blazing Manitoba nature filmmaker George Cotter (1915-2011) had a remarkable film career that spanned four decades. Cotter hauled his Bolex camera across the province to patiently gather remarkable footage of wildlife and nature in every season. Celebrate Halloween at the 11th Annual SAFE Halloween at the East Beaches Recreation Centre! This family-friendly event that offers a fun environment for trick-or-treaters of all ages, featuring a HUGE haunted house filled with Halloween treats and surprises.
Residents and local businesses are invited to take part by bringing goodies to hand out inside the haunted house. Tables will be provided.

Join Oak Hammock Marsh for a special event to celebrate Halloween! Learn how to design and carve your very own festive pumpkin. Their staff will provide tips, patterns, and all the tools you need to create a masterpiece. While you carve, learn fun facts about wetlands in autumn, and the wildlife that calls them home.

Board the haunted S.S. Keenora…if you are brave enough! Every October the Marine Museum of Manitoba transforms the SS Kenora into a haunting experience so intense, you might just “ship” your pants!
This is a no-contact haunt! Their spooky ghouls inside will not touch you. Please read through their rules and regulations here.
At the end of the Haunt, visit the concession for hot and cold drinks, nachos and cheese, gourmet cookies and other amazing treats available.

Halloween Haunt
Board the haunted S.S. Keenora…if you are brave enough! Every October the Marine Museum of Manitoba transforms the SS Kenora into a haunting experience so intense, you might just “ship” your pants!
This is a no-contact haunt! Their spooky ghouls inside will not touch you. Please read through their rules and regulations here.
At the end of the Haunt, visit the concession for hot and cold drinks, nachos and cheese, gourmet cookies and other amazing treats available.
General admission is $21/person (GST included). Pay at the door, no advance tickets available. Debit, credit and cash are accepted.

Ghost Tours at LFG
Experience a different side of Lower Fort Garry with their spine-chilling Ghost Tours! Led by a historical guide, this 90-minute walking tour will take you through the eerie past of the fort, sharing unsettling stories of murder, drinking, and suicide, as recounted by past workers and residents over the last 195 years.
At the end of the tour, decompress at the Thirsty Beaver Tavern in the historic Men's House and have a beverage, buy a snack, and share your OWN ghost stories!

Comedy Misfits Selkirk
This 90 minute stand-up comedy show is a show that embraces the collective uniqueness and weirdness of Heather McConkey, Walter Tenhaaf, and Chris Basso, in a playful manner with a hint of edge and a healthy dose of self-awareness.
It will showcase some of the funniest and friendliest west coast comedians that have been featured at places like Yuk Yuk’s, World Series of Comedy, Woodstove Arts Festival and stages all across Canada!
