
Ponemah Canada Day Parade
Celebrate Canada Day in the Village of Dunnottar with their annual Canada Day Parade!
The fun kicks off with parade marshalling at 9:30 a.m. at Central Avenue and Railway, followed by the parade starting at 10:00 a.m. The route will head east along Central Avenue, south on Gimli Road to Ponemah Road, west to Railway, and then north on Railway, ending at the Ponemah Beach Central Art Centre.
After the parade, stick around for a community celebration featuring free cake and a chance to purchase tickets for some fantastic silent auction prizes.

Canada Day Car Show
Come on down and celebrate Canada Day with the Grand Marais Community Central at their annual Canada Day Car Show Celebration!
Take a stroll through the rows of stunning classic and vintage cars, snap some photos, and be sure to cast your vote for the “Best in Class” vehicle.
While you're there, check out over 15 local vendors and grab a bite to eat as they’ll be serving up hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks. There’ll also be music playing throughout the day, T-shirts for sale, and a 50/50 draw for a chance to win big!
Admission is free for both exhibitors and spectators, so bring the whole family for a fun-filled afternoon.

Celebrate Canada Day at the Matlock Recreation Club for an pack afternoon of fun with the family!
Enjoy live music from MRC Jammers, complimentary cake, and a BBQ lunch free for club members or $5 for non members. Parks Canada welcomes you to a very special Knowledge Sharing Series at Lower Fort Garry.
On select Saturdays throughout July and August, Indigenous guests will speak about their experiences and knowledge that they have gained over the years. Anyone wanting to learn more about and connect more deeply with First Nations and Red River Métis culture is invited and encouraged to attend. For more information visit here!

Libau Summer Fest
The Libau Community Club presents its biggest event of the year—the 3rd Annual Libau Summer Fest.
This full day celebration features family-friendly entertainment, including a petting zoo, face painting, train rides, bouncy houses, and lawn games including Libau’s famous hay bale toss. A farmers’ market will also be on site. You’ll also find a beer garden and live music at 8 PM featuring BlueFX.
Support the club by purchasing tickets for their 50/50 and silent auction. All proceeds from the event will go towards renovating the club’s bathrooms.

Learn more about these fascinating creatures during the Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre's annual Dragonfly Festival. Equipped with a net, you’ll join a Dragonfly Safari where you can catch, identify, and release as many different species of dragonflies and damselflies.

Evening Canoe Excursion
Join canoe specialist, Dusty Molinski, guide you through Oak Hammock Marsh on a two hour evening paddle!
You can bring your own canoe, kayak, or SUP, or you can rent one.
If you plan to bring your own watercraft, you must have it decontaminated at a provincial decontamination station before the event to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS).

Treaty No. 1 Commemeration
Learn about Treaty No. 1 – the first of the numbered treaties – on the 154th anniversary of its signing between the Ojibway, Swampy Cree and the Crown on the historic grounds of Lower Fort Garry. Admission fees to Lower Fort Garry are waived on Aug. 3.

Knowledge Sharing Series
Parks Canada welcomes you to a very special Knowledge Sharing Series at Lower Fort Garry.
On select Saturdays throughout July and August, Indigenous guests will speak about their experiences and knowledge that they have gained over the years. The Friends of Lower Fort Garry are celebrating their 40th Anniversary in style this summer! Glitter by the River is an outdoor cocktail party on the historic grounds of Lower Fort Garry, where guests are transported back fro the glitz and glamour of the Roaring 20s.

Brokenhead Trail 10 Year Celebration!
Celebrate a decade of conservation, culture, and community at the 10th Anniversary of the Brokenhead Wetland Interpretive Trail.
This free, family-friendly event invites visitors to experience one of Manitoba’s most rare and ecologically significant landscapes through a day of ceremony, storytelling, guided tours, and shared meals.

Blondie the Carousel Horse Exhibit
The East Beaches Heritage Wing Museum Committee invites you to the opening of their new exhibit, Blondie the Carousel Horse.
Brett Chestley has given the museum a wooden horse head from the original Grand Beach carousel. A small exhibit has been built to hold this one of a kind artifact. Brett will tell us about how he managed to find what is the only known piece of the original carousel, and why he searched for it in the first place. Come hear Brett tell the story of how he found this rare artifact.

Join canoe specialist, Dusty Molinski, guide you through Oak Hammock Marsh on a two hour evening paddle!
You can bring your own canoe, kayak, or SUP, or you can rent one.
If you plan to bring your own watercraft, you must have it decontaminated at a provincial decontamination station before the event to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS).
