(RRNT) honours the traditional territories of all the lands and waters across Canada, especially those of the Red River North, appreciating the many descendants who continue to reside in this region. Respect is paid to the Indigenous Elders and Métis leaders, past, present, and emerging, for they hold the memories, traditions, culture, and hopes of their people.

RRNT acknowledges the Treaties were intended to peaceably share and care for the lands in this unceded Territory, understands the harms of the past, and is dedicated to moving forward in a spirit of truth, openness, collaboration, and partnership with all peoples and cultures.
