3. Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site (May 20-Sept) is a must visit for history buffs! The site offers a glimpse into the 1830s with costumed interpreters and immersive summer programming.
4. Gather your friends and test your endurance at the 3rd Annual Beaches of 59 Amazing Race (August 9). Compete in a team of four and race through unique challenges inspired by the TV show!

33. Immerse yourself in a cultural experience with First Nations and Metis artists at the Lower Fort Garry Knowledge Sharing Series. On select Saturdays in July and August.
34. Take a stroll through the historic Captain Kennedy House property where you’ll find interpretive panels and a beautiful English garden to explore.
35. Visit St. Peter’s Dynevor Church and Graveyard. The church was the only Aboriginal Anglican parish in the Red River Settlement, and Chief Pequis was the Saulteux leader and signatory of The Selkirk Treaty which allowed European settlers to move into what is now Manitoba.
36. Snap a picture with Chuck the Channel Cat in Selkirk. This 11-metre statue proclaims Selkirk as the Catfish Capital of North America and is a tribute to local legend Chuck Norquay.




37. View stunning works of art of some of Manitoba’s talented artists at the Gwen Fox Art Gallery on Main Street in Selkirk. The gallery is open from February to December.
